I m sorry I am running a day behind! I had a long week! First week I work 5 days! Ok so for yesterday I was THANKFUL I had such a wonderful job. In talking with some of my former classmates its seems as though i have been one of the lucky ones who has been fortunate enough to find a job! It baffles me that I put in 2 years at SHARP and it was beyond impossible for me to find a job. YOu would think they would want to hire with in! So once i realized sharp wasnt going to pull through I begun my search with outside companies. I passed my nursing boards in april and did not land a job until August!! I have goals set for myself. I saw my self working at sharp and i got the Job... My next upgrade from there i told myself I would get hired at UCSD... and I did :) my next goal within the next couple years will be to stay within UCSD and move in to the womens center and work in the NICU or my ultimate life long dream Rady's Childrens Hospital in the NICU... I tell you I love what I do every morning which keeps me on the path for success. Like Steve JObs once said you spend most of your day at work... so its a must you have to love what you do! And let me tell you as stressful as my job cant get I love it. Since i started my journey as a nurse there has yet been a day where I complain to marco. When i was working as a CNA and doing the grunt work there wasnt a day that i would not complain... But i knew i had to do what i did in order to move up. and becoming a CNA was the best move ever. I feel becoming a CNA has made me a well rounded nurse and I know what it feels like to be at the bottom of the chain...Slowly making my way up the ladder :) I am blessed to be a UCSD Nurse and I take pride in my company and it is an Honor to be able to have such a Noble career.
