Here I am once again. I ll probably fall off again but I am going to make myself a promise to try and blog as much as I can the next 20 months...kinda like a stress reliever. So for the past nine years...literally... I have been working on and off towards becoming a Registered Nurse. After high school I tried the retail world and enjoyed it very much, didnt enjoy the part where my check went right back to my company. I pursued that career for about 6 years. After moving back from San Francisco ( where I went to college) I decided Women studies what I majored in and Working retail was not what I wanted to do the rest of my life. I knew in the back of my head I would become a nurse. Just took me a while getting there. In June of 2009 when the economy hit rock bottom and sales at Nordstrom were horrible, I decided to leave and pursue my career as a Nurse. So where does a girl with no medical experience and 6 years of Retail even begin? I was so lost and had no idea what to do or where to start. I had Anatomy and Physiology done and needed one more prereq to be able to start a program. But no Hospital wanted to hire me with 6 years of Nordstrom Expereince. So what I did next was probably the best move ever!
I decided to become a CNA!

Belated Weigh in Wednesday for 05/09
Lately I have been getting a day off in the week which has been pretty nice, because I could use some me time. Last Wednesday I weighed in at 162.4 I had gone back up from the 158. But I didn't feel bad about myself I sucked it up and carried on. I decided to go on a long run. It was amazing and such a nice day out. It was just me and pandora.I ran 7.12 miles... Pictures below to show you... It felt so good to get out there and run. I came home with a nice sunburn. I called them my battle wounds. Until next Wednesday...

The Journey to being in the best shape of my life.
I m on a mission and the train is going whole speed to get ti my goal. I was talking with one of the Doc's today and was asking him a few questions and he looks at me and says your 5'3 and you need to be at 116lbs. I looked at him like he was crazy, but he is the specialist,with the MD at the end of his name.
So with that being said and realizing i was 2 points away from being obesed on the BMI chart I thought I had hit rock bottom in regards to weight and it was time to make a change. So I took out a piece of paper and began jotting down some ideas. I broke down the life into long term and short term goals.
Long Term:
Weigh 116lb
Feel and Look Healthy
Be able to wear whatever I want, without being insecure about how I look in it.
Change my dietary habits. Transition into healthier eating.
Become a runner and eventually run my first half marathon
Stay AWAY FROM COKE AND SODA, TORTILLAS, and WHITE BREAD.
Short Term:
Loose 2 lbs a week.
Count my calories using fitness pal app.
Follow a healthy eating plan for seven days to jump start my mission.
Run 20 miles a week spread out through 6 days. 1 day for rest.
DRINK MORE WATER!!!

Wednesday weigh in..
Today I weighed in at a whooping 158.2!!!!! BMI 28. On track so far :) I was looking at my stats from a year ago and I was weighing 148 with a BMI of 26.22.
38 pounds to gooooo. It's crazy how I dropped 6 pounds in 2 weeks from just changing what I eat and cutting back on the beer :) started my cardio yesteray... Goal is cardio five days a week!

Dreaded 160
Just shoot me already.... It's April and I m still at a god awful 160.... That's it no more excuses.... Time to whip my but into shape! Today is day two of changing my eating habits...
Breakfast: had a nopal shake... Which consisted of nopal(cactus), celery, two limes, orange juice and honey... Put it in my blender and called it an AM :)
Lunch: bomb dot com sanwhich... Multigrain toasted bread, sprouts, pickles, jalapeƱos, tomato, onion,mustard, mayo, Swiss cheese, ham and bacon. The meat part wasn't so healthy but it was so filling!!! Only had half.
Dinner: spaghetti with meat sauce and hot Italian sausage.
No work out today.... We hit the jacuzzi instead :)

Fitness Friday
So on monday when I got on the dreadful scale... i rang in at a BIG 160! I havent been 160 since I moved home from College.. My goal is 120lbs by July 1st! 2 lbs a week is what I am shooting for! And thats actually the healthy weight that one should lose a week for successful weight loss. Today on my weekly weigh in... I weighed in at 157.8..... so I m right on schedule! I really didnt do much trying to get back into the swing of things after being off for the holidays.... but i did change the way i eat... lots of leafy greens, water, chicken and walking two miles during my lunch! Next week I ll begin to incorporate more cardio!!! Happy Friday :)

Pretty Sure I am never saying that I will not fall off the blogging world...ever... Well Happy New Year my fellow bloggers. I must say 2011 came and went fast than I can say Happy New Year :) I wish this year brings lots of Happiness and Love. 2012 has some big shoes to fill... 2011 was just full of so many blessings... Just to recap a few...
I graduated from nursing school...first stepping stone to my new career... I passed My NCLEX Boards... and have the most amazing job in a really awesome Hospital in San Diego.
We traveled to Cancun for 8 days and saw so many amazing places... Blog to come
Travel to Puerto Vallarta as well with my Boyfriends family... Blog to come
My sister in law ties the knot...
I bought my first car!!! 2012 VW JETTA in black :)
Moved out with my Love...
Definitely more ups than downs in 2011... I hope in 2012 we are blessed with many many more...
Since its 2012....
My hopes and goals for 2012 are as follow.... I would say resolution but come on now who really keeps them now a days!
1. DIET and EXERCISE....healthy....healthy...healthy... Fridays I will begin a FITNESS FRIDAY post...
2. Purchase our first Home :)
3.Run my first half marathon
4. Travel to New York for New years Eve
5. Work as growing as a person and learning not to be as selffish :)
6.Continue building and growing on our relationship not only grow as a couple but as individuals
7.Read...read..read... Find time to read more books....
8. work on getting into a BSN program.
9.Blogger more... hmmm lets see... Thankful Tuesdays.... Fitness fridays... those are my ideas for now....
10. make more time for my friends!
11. massage my boyfriend more often...
12. stop bitting my nails!
